Dear Kevin
It is my great pleasure to provide a letter of recommendation for the products and services offered by ICE AV technologies. Enterprise North Shore’s experience, both with the Formula One Race Car Simulator and high definition projection screens, have exceeded expectations.

The Formula One Race Car simulator supplied by ICE AV provided a stimulating and exciting opportunity to enage our clients and sponsors. The most significant difference between this and other simulators is the massive bright screen which enabled attendees to watch the actions of the person in the simulator, and comment on them loudly!

Enterprise North Shore has made use of ICE AV Technologies impressive high brightness projection screens. Our presentations come alive, and without the hassle of worrying about the quality of light provided by our venues.

The quality of these screens compared to wall or regular screen projection is fantastic.

I have no reservation in recommending ICE AV Technologies’ products and services.Terry Hoskins, Chief Executive Officer, Enterprise North Shore

sealofapproval This is what one experienced race driver visitor had to say about our simulator.
“The experience I had sitting in your simulator http://www.simdeck.com was absolutely amazing. The whole feel was such a realistic experience. The noise, vibration, movement and visual experience were brilliant. I have raced cars in NZ and at Brands Hatch & Donnington in the UK and I can tell you it was very much like the real thing. I cannot wait for another go!!!” Darin Kitching, New Car Sales Consultant, Albany Toyota, Auckland. Tel 0800 657-755 (Foot note: Darin was actually very good in the simulator and his experience shined thru. He wanted to spend the afternoon reliving his UK adrenalin rush, but some folk also have to work!)

I had previously seen the Pet250 race simulator static, prior to it being powered up and actually ‘in use’. It was not until I had the opportunity to climb in and truly experience the realism that a high quality projector/screen combined with the feedback of the racecar that I would have believed how well setup this simulator was. This comes as close to driving the actual circuit that I could have imagined from a simulator. If a picture can tell a thousand words then slipping into the driver’s seat of this machine takes you to another level.

International Solicitor of the High Court endorses the SimDeck Experience. Abbreviated comments
“I have had an opportunity to drive the simulator a few months ago and it proved to be a unique experience and the nearest thing I could imagine to actually driving a grand prix Formula 1 racing car.

What makes a ride in this simulator different from the usual amusement arcade machine is the extraordinary ICE Digital Daytime Screen which creates the actual impression of being in a race car on a real track (which it is- actual tracks around the world are simulated) and gives vivid image clarity of the track, markings on the track, track boundary markers and buildings.

The impression of speed, combined with the movements of the car itself, is breathtaking and in some cases can engender a real apprehension of danger unlike other simulation experiences that I have had. I am happy to answer any questions about my personal experience of the SimDeck simulator.”

Kevin, Thank you for our recent tour of your business and the incredible interactive experience of the Formula Race Car simulator which was the closest experience i will ever have to driving a formula race car on the comprehensive list of race circuits via the ICE Digital Daytime screen. I would wholehartedly endorse this experience to any business thinking of hosting a corporate event or a team bonding exercise in team building. Ric Walker, Managing Director, www.littlekidsco.co.nz

sealofapproval City Mayor goes racing with the Mayoral Chains for his race experience.
I had the real pleasure of trying out the SimDeck Formula Race car simulator at a function I attended in May 2008 – and I’ve got to say that the whole experience was something I could imagine you could very easily get hooked on!

The sheer exhilaration of feeling like you are actually driving a high performance vehicle at speeds of up to 300kph left me as a total convert to this concept which is truly exciting and immensely challenging to those among us who are Formula One followers.

A combination of life size virtual world images, real time dash gauges, vibration sensory feedback and enough sound to recreate the on-track atmosphere resulted in a blurring of reality and virtual reality for me and made the racing seem absolutely realistic.

Am I a petrol-head?
Well, actually I’m not! But, guess what – I really enjoyed having a go on Kevin’s Formula Race Car simulator. I helped him out at an event in Auckland, and I was dressed in my blue motor racing overalls – so I really did look the part! What I do like about the simulator is that it can be used in so many different ways for different people. It can be used in a corporate scenario, for a team-building exercise, and pit team against team. Even though there is only one person driving, everyone else can get involved both in offering advice, cheering people on, and celebrating success. What I found was that the fastest I drove round the circuit, I was overtaken by my buddy’s first ‘go’ round the track. It doesn’t matter though, because whatever level people are at, they have a chance to beat their own score and get a buzz from that. You should see a group of ten year olds having a birthday party – cake in racing car detail – and really getting involved in the contest! If you are thinking of having a go – check it out now! Here are what people are saying about ICE Digital Daytime Screens

“WOW” a light bulb moment from this IT Manager
While windows at the end of the room provide superb panoramic views of Wellington harbour, they do tend to flood the room with a great deal of light.

Even with a 2000+ lumen data projector, (Shooting on a white wall) it is typically necessary to close the blinds and often turn out the lights.
I saw the ICE Digital Daytime Screen in action at a local events centre a couple of years ago. It was in a very well lit environment and I was blown away by the brightness. I thought that it was some sort of new electronic display technology but I soon found out it was ‘just’ a screen.

With a screen now fitted in the boardroom the blinds can stay open and the lights can stay on. The projector displays an image that is incredibly bright and sharp. The users of the room have commented on the brightness and find it much easier to give presentations without having to deal with light problems.
The best news was that my manager’s mouth dropped and let out a ‘Wow!’ when he saw the screen up for the first time. Good news for my career as he approved the purchase on my recommendation.

Kevin has offered new possibilities for enhancing New Zealand’s creative identity through use of her artistic vision, computer skills, technical abilities, big screens and generosity with his time and equipment, offering indoor and outdoor screens for workshops, media launches, festivals and the awards themselves, enhancing visual effects as well as employment opportunities within the creative industries. Kevin solved the backstage screen display problem at the performances by using the ICE Digital Daytime screen to overcome the high lit areas where the body painters were working and preparing their models.
